Tombstone Tuesday – William E. McCormack

This is the tombstone of William E. McCormack. No, this isn’t my great grandfather William of Otter Lake. This is the “other” William E. McCormack. I’m guessing that he was named after his uncle.

The "other" William E. McCormack.

The “other” William E. McCormack.

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about this William E. McCormack. He is the nephew to the “other” William. This William’s father was Edward, younger brother to my great grandfather. His mother was Elizabeth J. McCormack. He is buried in Lemon Bay Historical Cemetery[1] in Englewood, Sarasota County, Florida. For most of his life, he lived in Big Creek Township, Oscoda County, Michigan and helped in one way or another with the family general store. I believed he moved to Florida for health reasons. I wish I knew more about this William E. McCormack. I hope that he had a good life.
